[detroit] timeless mix - 2006.05.31

2005 年 Dj Bone 每月乙次透過網路發表名為 Attack 的 mix,迄今已超過 40 回合.

這些 mix 開始前,他會親口闡述音樂理念,近來發生的大小事.. 受其熱情付出的感召與混音創意的啟發, 2006 年挑選出 28 首曾讓我愛不釋手的 techno 唱片,連串成一個 set,叫做 Timeless,表達對這些經典歌曲幕後創作者之敬意.

底特律電音樂壇有個很有趣的現象,如果一位底特律 DJ 開始播放某一首不錯的歌曲,所有 DJs 會跟著加入播放行列,不過他們會透過不同歌曲搭配或混音技法,將歌曲詮釋出不同於其他 DJs 的特色,各自發揮創意,形成良性互動.

所以每到某個時期,便會發現這群 DJs 不約而同將某首歌曲編排加入自己的 mix sets,聆聽他們的 mix 像是坐在課堂上聽老師講解充滿驚奇地音樂創意學,不時還被突如其來的怪點子震到九霄雲外天馬行空想像一番.

無怪乎底特律電音在美國海外受到重視,他們就像眾志成城的音樂創意團隊,或者是攻無不克的音樂先鋒部隊,大家為一件事情群策群力,經過多年再重複聆聽其 mix sets,除了登上經典的音樂,還有一起打拼的感動,這些記憶隨著時間腳步慢慢走入歷史,化作永恆.
